This page contains links to information about NwETA’s legacy products which we support for users who may be interested in them, but for which we no longer supply the software or hardware.
Legacy products currently include BARS, the HSS and the WHO NCTB. The Behavioral Assessment and Research System (BARS) was developed by and has been used by the NwETA principals (Diane Rohlman and Kent Anger) to identify adverse effects of neurotoxic chemical exposure at the workplace. BARS no longer functions on current computer operating systems so it has become a legacy product. The HSS was used in the lab’s research on returning Gulf War (I) veterans. The WHO NCTB is a neurotoxicology test battery recommended by a World Health Organization (WHO) expert committee for screening human populations for neurotoxic effects in 1984. Dr. Anger developed the Operational Guide for the NCTB and led the cross-cultural research project published in 1993. It remains widely referenced in human neurotoxicology research and there are frequent requests to assemble the equipment for the test battery and to obtain the Operational Guide.
